Watchathon is an annual tradition where Xfinity unlocks content from premium networks—for free. In past years, we’ve encouraged fans to binge-watch but in 2019 that’s not enough of a hook anymore. We needed a new way to excite fans.
So we invited them to fully immersive cinema experiences based on two of TV’s most popular shows, HBO’s Game of Thrones and Showtime’s Billions.

For Game of Thrones, we premiered the much-anticipated final season in an actual medieval castle, straight out of Westeros.
Everything from the transportation and meals to the staff and cinema rooms delivered on deep knowledge of each show.
Real props used in the show were flown in from the prop warehouse in Belfast, like the Dragonstone Throne and Khalessi’s map table of Westeros.
The official Game of Thrones weapons master stopped by to discuss his most famous creations, like Jon Snow’s Longclaw.
For Billions, we premiered the show in a luxury-car club in NYC—the same location where the show had previously shot scenes.
